This belt did not workJul 12, 2012
By Robert W. Wilson
I replaced the 8 year old original belt on my Maytag SAV-5910AWW washing machine with this belt as the original was tattered and running irregularly. I noticed that although it had the correct part number on it, it was not the same color as the original. As soon as I ran the machine I saw that this belt was slipping during agitation as well as at the start of a spin cycle. In addition, the idler did not snap to the full out position during spin. After a month, agitation was slower and the belt was causing the idler to bounce in and out. On inspection, the belt was cracked almost through.
I ordered a genuine whirlpool belt and have installed it and the washer runs correctly now.
My conclusion is that although the correct size, this belt is made of the wrong material and does not have the correct friction properties. The washer design depends on the belt slipping at the first of a spin cycle, but not during agitation.
This belt was a complete waste of time and money. Buy a belt from someone who promises a genuine Whirlpool belt even though it is much more expensive.

Quick and exactly the right part!Feb 18, 2014
Less expensive than anywhere else. The washing machine belt I ordered seems to be authentic and very good quality...thank you!
Very Satisfied!May 02, 2014
The belt I ordered arrived before I could turn around good, I found it to be the correct size, and I installed it shortly thereafter. Works Great!!!!
Belt broke immediately, twiceSep 04, 2012
I needed to do a triple-lip seal repair on my Maytag SAV3710AWW washer and figured I'd replace the belt while I had it opened. We could smell burnt rubber following the very first wash and the belt was completely broken after a week. I contacted the vendor and was very pleased that they immediately sent out a replacement belt with no questions asked - kudos on the customer service! Unfortunately, the second belt broke just as quickly as the first. Both of them came apart at the seam. I then spent $35 on the OEM belt at the local repair store and it's worked great for two months now.
What can I say it's a belt for a washing machine.Aug 22, 2012
It works well and was delevered quickly. It was cheap and fixed the machine. well done amzon. The main problem with the washer was the transmission which they say was shot and not serviceable. However, I was able to split the case and seal it with some RTV.
